Suzie, Our Astronaut

Suzie

We have a mannequin from NASA. We designed a space suit with all these different features.

On Suzie’s space suit we made the toileting compartment. First we had to make the undies with black fabric and hose. There was a bit more hose connected to the undies so the wee and poo could go into the container. When it got full it would beep and you can turn it off with a switch on the top of the container.

One of the groups made it easy for Suzie to move her joints with black elastic. They had to staple them. The elastic was stinky and a bit stringy. It was all over Suzie on all the joints. The idea of it was because the space suit is too thick. That is good thinking I think.

Paris’s team made the awesome shoes. They had spikes to give her lots of grip. They are black with beautiful stars.

How to Make a Bookmark Rocket

What you need:

Green, yellow, white. orange, turquoise paper.

Glue

Colour pencils

Scissors

How to make it:

Get your turquoise piece of paper and cut a rectangle- length 19 cm, width 5 cm. Cut a triangle for the top

Get a counter and draw a circle on the white piece of paper. Get a glue stick lid and draw a circle around it on yellow paper x 3. Cut a triangle for the top.

Get your 6 circles and glue them like this :

Get your orange piece of paper and cut it something like this:

With the rest of your white paper cut a rectangle 4cm by 1cm x2.

Get a green piece of paper and cut a rectangle 5cm long and 1 cm wide x2.

Use an orange piece of paper and cut a triangle. Now cut two triangles like this.

What Happened On Our Variety Show

“Everyone, get into place, it’s about to start!”

On the 9^th August it was variety show night. I was so excited. My brothers and Mum and Dad came with me.

The juniors and middle syndicate were involved.

In the waiting rooms I was waiting and waiting until it was time to go into the staffroom. When we went into the staffroom we were getting all our suns on our hands ready to go on stage. I was wearing the most beautiful dress with pink flowers everywhere with a silky piece underneath because it was see through.

The whole middle syndicate were doing a theme about the sun and different countries legends.

It was awesome because I was the narrator for the whole syndicate.

It was a long wait but when I was up there I had so much fun.

Poppy the Puppy

Poppy is a West Highland White terrier.

Poppy has black eyes and white fluffy fur. She is small with a black nose and four little black paws.

Poppy loves to play but hates to be alone.

She is the cutest puppy I’ve seen.

Bishop School

When I went to Bishop School I felt scared and sneezy because of the dust.

When I think of Bishop School I think it can be used as a church and it is different to our class. I don't want to go to Bishop School because I was scared.

Little Red Riding Wolf

LITTLE RED RIDING WOLF

Little red riding wolf was a nice wolf and everyday she went to her grandmas house. But every time she went there was the big bad girl who took the food out of his basket. The big bad girl hated everyone in the forest but she hated the wolf most of all. The big bad girls Dad was a hat maker and he made silly and stupid hats, but he made the big bad girl where them.

Swimming Sports

Yesterday we went to Nayland pool. It was so fun. I did five races. I won lots of blocks. I nearly got into Interschools. I raced against 9 year olds. It took a long time until I got to swim. It was cool when I got out the pool. It was fun being able to shout for my house, because I can hardly ever shout.
